Time over Intensity
Postures are held passively for anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes. It is the duration of the hold, rather than the depth of the stretch, that creates lasting changes in the fascia.
The Use of Props
Bolsters, blankets, and blocks are generously used to bring the floor up to you. Props allow the muscles to completely disengage so the body feels safe enough to release.
