Your cells are constantly eavesdropping on your thoughts. Psychoneuroimmunology is the study of how our emotional states and deeply held beliefs directly impact our nervous and immune systems. Chronic suppressed emotions literally manifest as physical pain and illness.

To heal the body, we must address the mind. To calm the mind, we must address the physical body. This retreat provides the tools to speak the language of your nervous system, allowing you to untangle the physiological knots created by chronic stress, grief, or trauma.

Talk therapy addresses the conscious mind, but trauma and deep emotional patterns are stored in the body's tissues. We use "bottom-up" processing to release them:

Somatic Experiencing

Guided physical practices that help you safely tune into internal physical sensations, allowing trapped "fight or flight" energy to safely discharge from the nervous system without having to re-tell traumatic stories.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

A highly modified, gentle movement practice focused entirely on reclaiming bodily agency, establishing physical boundaries, and rebuilding a sense of safety within your own skin.

Vagal Toning & HRV

The Vagus Nerve is the commander of your body's relaxation response. Throughout the retreat, we use targeted breathing exercises and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback tools so you can literally watch your nervous system calm down in real-time.

  • Master resonance breathing to sync heart and lungs.
  • Build measurable physiological resilience to future stress.
Mind Body Connection Yoga

This retreat goes beyond physical relaxation; it is deep, emotional work. You must come with a willingness to face discomfort.

  • Pre-Retreat Journaling: Upon registration, you will receive a workbook. We ask that you spend 15 minutes a day for the week leading up to the retreat exploring specific prompts about your emotional history and physical pain points.
  • Emotional Readiness: Be prepared for tears, anger, and profound relief. Our facilitators are highly trained to hold a safe, judgment-free container for your process.

Grounding & Regulation

Begin with somatic shaking, vocal toning, and slow-flow movement to regulate the nervous system for the day ahead.

Afternoon

Cognitive & Somatic Workshops

Participate in group therapy workshops focusing on neuroplasticity, identifying limiting beliefs, and biofeedback training.

Evening

Integration & Containment

Gather for supportive sharing circles followed by Yoga Nidra, ensuring that any emotions stirred up during the day are safely contained before sleep.

Knowledge is empowering. You will learn the basics of Polyvagal Theory (how your nervous system assesses danger), how neuroplasticity allows you to rewire trauma responses, and how the gut-brain axis influences your daily mood and anxiety levels.

Like thawing earth, this session focuses on unfreezing the nervous system. We use intense somatic movement, TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), and deep fascial release to let go of old, stored emotional pain. Includes 6 nights accommodation, organic meals, and all therapies.
